Protect Our Kenyan Kids through Enhanced Child Protection
The children we serve, especially our girls, are generally seen as vulnerable due to their age, size, and socio-economic status.
EOG Uniform Buttons: One identified danger is travel to and from school each day. Each of our Children will wear a button on their uniforms with the name and logo of our Foundation. This button will communicate that they are under our Protection and Care. The local Chiefs will also help communicate this protective message to the local Nyeri Community
Child & Guardian Training: This program will empower our parents/guardians/children to better proactively protect from abuse & how to respond/report if abuse occurs. This Program will Incorporate Forums & Trainings for our parents/guardians/children into our School Break Day Camp (April, August, November/December.)
Partner with Local Chiefs & Law Enforcement: In Kenya, marginalized individuals (like the children & families we serve) sometimes do not receive adequate attention from local law enforcement for crimes committed against them. By partnering with Local Chiefs, we will be able to properly track these instances & help ensure the children we serve receive fair treatment in the Kenyan Justice System.
