Kenya Girls Empowerment 2026 - Will you Stand with Her?
Background: Girls in marginalized areas of Kenya, especially in Majengo Slums, face a complex web of Socio-economic and Cultural Barriers that severely limit their potential: poverty, gender- based violence & sexual assault, inadequate access to menstrual hygiene products, lack of mental health services & positive adult female role models; harmful cultural practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM), early forced marriage. In short, our Girls face additional challenges compared to the boys we serve.
Our Current Comprehensive Sponsorships help mitigate many of these Life Challenges & Barriers to Education to a degree.
However, specific programs targeted at these challenges will enhance our ability to serve our Girls Holistically & help create more positive long term life results.
Menstrual Hygiene Kit (“Dignity Kits”): No Girls Should have to
choose between her Education and her Dignity. Each Girl will
receive Health Education, Training to use “Dignity Kits” & Menstrual Hygiene Supplies. The main piece of our “Dignity Kits” are reusable menstruation pads developed & manufactured in Kenya by a Kenyan led NGO that specializes in this area. Many Girls have Health Challenges related to menstruation, missing “school days” due to lack of Menstrual Health Education & Hygiene Materials.

Mental Health Program: Many Girls we serve have mental health challenges related to the many additional challenges they face. These challenges decrease overall health & long-term successful life
results. In 2026, we are increasing Individual & Group Counseling Sessions for our Girls. We will also be featuring “Special Guest Stars” at our Day Camp - Successful Adult Female Role Models to speak with our Girls in a Group Setting.
Guardian Engagement Program: This program will empower our parents/guardians to better support their daughters and partner with our Foundation for better long term life results for their daughters. We will deliver training programs for parents and guardians during our School Break Day Camp (April, August, November/December.)
